Aram Bartholl, DeadDrops, since 2010, public intervention
|
|
‘DeadDrops’ allows an offline data exchange and works as peer-to-peer network in public space. USB flash drives are embedded into walls or other places accessable to anybody in public space. Everyone is invited to put his design laptop between curbstones or derelicted walls in order to drop or find files on a dead drop. DeadDrops provide the possibility of personal data exchange without been spied by large commercial structures misusing and selling private information.
